Chorlton Park has been chosen to be used in a 70's BBC programme which will be filmed in school next week on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd November. The film company has offered a considerable donation which will go towards the refurbishment of the school playground. This means that we will be able to bring forward planned work and is a fabulous opportunity for the school. The film crew will be using a classroom in the Adult Education Centre next door but will be filming through a window at just the top end of the Y5 and 6 playground. No children or staff from the school will be filmed at any time, just the building. An added benefit is that children in Years 5 and 6 will have the opportunity to do extra sport and outdoor activity during the filming.
Please can you help us by only using the Barlow Moor Road gate entrance and walkway, the park entrance near Barlow Moor Road and the entrance on Mauldeth Road West on these two days.
Arrangements for picking up and dropping off children are as follows:
Year 1 and 2 through dining room entrance only - pick up at 3.15pm in front of dining room.
Year 3 and 4 through dining room entrance only in morning - pick up at 3.20pm outside dining room entrance opposite infant hall.
Year 5 - drop off and pick up as usual at 3.20pm
Year 6 - though dining room entrance, up stairs and across top floor to Y6 - pick up at 3.25pm from dining room entrance opposite infant hall.
There will be no changes for children in the foundation building apart from not using the top gate near Y6
