We have noticed that there is a major bottle neck at the dining hall door at the end of the day. This is because of
- The volume of traffic from pupils walking to the playground from their classrooms
- Pupils and parents entering through the dining hall door to collect lunch boxes
- Year 1 children lined up outside the hall
To deal with these issues
- The dining hall door will only be used for exiting the school
- the door opposite the infant hall will be used for collecting lunch boxes
- parents collecting Y1 children, please stand well back from the dining hall door.
We understand that this may be a little inconvenient but we feel that these changes will make the end of the day safer. We will monitor the situation over the next few weeks. If you have any thoughts, please speak to Mr Watson or Mrs Burgess.
For Children In Need, some children ran their own cake stalls and raised £21.90 - a big thanks to Tyce (1HL), Bethan (3MJ), Rufus (1SL), Lily (3TC) and John (1HC). The school raised a total of £383.07 on the day so well done everyone!
We know that good reading is the key to good learning. Can you offer a short amount of time on a regular basis to hear children read? We need your help, particularly with our older children. If you can help, please contact Mr Watson or Mrs Burgess who will give further information.

Can we remind parents and children that school starts at 8.50am and children can start to come onto the school grounds no earlier than 8.30am. The only exception is for children attending the Breakfast Club or COSH which are set up to look after children between 8.00 and 8.50am should you require it. We also finish at 3.20pm at the end of the day and children need to be picked up promptly at 3.20.
