Well done to Chorlton Park girls football team! The team not only played extremely well and won the tournament but demonstrated excellent sportsmanship during the event.
School Disco- Disco one for nursery to Y3 is 3.45 to 5.00pm and Disco two for Y3 to Y6 is 5.30 to 6.45pm. Disco delicacies will include hot dogs, sandwiches and popcorn and to help make you look disco-tastic there will be glowsticks on sale. A big thank you in advance to anyone who is bringing cakes - please leave them in the office on the morning of the disco.For children coming to Disco one, the infant hall will be available for the children to change into their disco clothes after school. The entrance for dropping off and picking up will be Mauldeth Road only, using the door opposite the infant hall. No other doors will be open.
We are holding a Maths Workshop for Y3/4 parents and carers to give practical instruction on the written methods we use today in maths. The methods we use today may be different to the ones you were taught and this may help you to support your child at home. The workshop will be held in 4BH on Wednesday 5th December at 9.30am and will run for 1 hour. To book your place please complete the form that was sent out on Tuesday.
Manchester City Art Gallery are holding a Victorian Day on Sunday 18th November between 1-4pm. For children in Y5 who are learning about the Victorians this event would be extremely interesting.
We have been given the opportunity for some Year 6 children to go and see Jacky Kay's new production at the Studio Theatre in Manchester on Tuesday Nov 20th. Jacky Kay, the playwright, will be coming into school the next day to talk to the children about their experience and understanding of "The Straw Girl".
Please remember that when 5LW go to visit Trinity CLC, children will need a packed lunch and £1.40 bus fare.
Due to the dark nights, football club will no longer be played in the park outside but will take place in the Gym. However the gym is currently out of action so there will be no football until further notice. Apologies to you all.
